Aerospaced Development does Database Mining. 
In database circles, the new buzz-word is datamining. This is where data is picked out of mountains of data for the purpose of showing certain trends, facts, directions. A prime example is one of my customers was having trouble with his warehouse taking too long from unloading a truck to the point it was placed on the shelves. I built a simple bar graph guage showing average time from when somthing was unloaded from the truck to where it was placed on the shelves. This was displayed on the 46 inch monitor for all employees to see. This provided a form of self motivation, as it was colored green / yellow / red. They had a desire to keep the guage in the green zone.

This can range from parts built an hour on a production line, to losses per 100. This will help production in many ways. Personal morale will improve as it is better they correct thier own actions as apposed to having to correct the employee. This can also pass important messages to employees. This technology is a win-win situation.
